The DJI Air 2S drone has been launched in the United States. It is the successor to the DJI Mavic Air 2, but the company has decided to drop the Mavic moniker at this time. The DJI Air2S has a number of improvements over its predecessor, such as a high speed, a foldable weapon and an advanced camera. The DJI Air 2S drone, however, has 31 minutes less flight time than the DJI Mavic Air 2. The DJI Air 2S is also sold in a special combo package that includes a shoulder bag.
Price of DJI Air 2S
The DJI Air 2S costs $ 999 (approximately Rs. 74,400) for a standard package with a battery and three pairs of low noise propellers. The DJI Air 2S Fly More Combo is priced at $ 1,299 (approximately Rs. 96,800) and includes three batteries, six pairs of low noise propellers, an ND filter set, battery charging hub, battery powered bank adapter and a shoulder bag.
DJI has not yet shared details about international availability.
DJI Air 2S Specification, Features
The DJI Air 2S is a foldable drone that comes with GPS, GLONASS, a single compass, 8GB of internal storage and a 3,500mAh battery. This gives the drone a total flight time of 31 minutes without air and a maximum rotation time of 30 minutes. The maximum flight speed is 19 meters per second and the maximum flight distance is 18.5 km.
The DJI Air 2S can connect to a controller at a frequency of 2.4GHz or 5GHz and automatically switch to the best available channel. The main upgrade of the Air 2S is the camera. It now has a 1-inch CMOS sensor with an f / 2.8 lens, compared to its predecessor 1/2-inch sensor. It has a resolution of 20 megapixels and a viewing field of 88 degrees. In manual mode it has an ISO range of 100 to 12,800 and can take 5,472×3,648 pixel images in a 3: 2 aspect ratio or 5,472×3,078 pixel images in a 16: 9 aspect ratio. The DJI Air 2S has a bit rate of 150 Mbps and can record up to 30 fps up to 5.4K (5,472×3,078 pixels) or up to 60fps up to 4K. It can do 1080p at 120fps. You can expand the built-in 8GB storage with a microSD card (up to 256GB).
The DJI Air 2S also comes with front, rear, upward and downward precision measurement sensors. Below are the dual vision sensors and the Time of Flight Sensor (TOF) and all of these sensors allow the drone to do four-way barrier sensing. The DJI Air 2S controller has a battery life of six hours and uses the company’s OcuSync 2.0 to transmit it to drones. The drone measures 180x97x77mm in its folding position and 183x253x77mm in its open position. It weighs 595 grams, which is 25 grams heavier than the DJI Mavic Air 2
