DuckDuckGo’s privacy-focused browser app is now finally available for Mac users-

In a big boost to online privacy as opposed to big technology, DuckDuckGo’s privacy-centric browsing app is available as a beta product for Mac users. The only caveat is that users must add a waiting list before granting access.

For those unfamiliar with DuckDuckGo, this is a very popular web browsing app that uses DuckDuckGo’s own search engine by default, which blocks web trackers, and deals with unnecessary and intrusive cookies and allows users to nuclearize their personal browsing data. . Single click. The best thing about using DuckDuckGo is that you do not leave any “cookies” so you are not given any annoying ads while browsing.

According to DuckDuckGo, their apps and search engines are now equipped to deal with more than 50 percent of the sites and clear their cookies and other tracking processes, while automatically selecting options that either block or shorten cookies from the rest of the Internet. As the beta program progresses, they are also working to significantly expand their coverage.

Users will also have access to a privacy feed on their homepage that will let users know which sites they have visited and what types of trackers they have installed. In addition, it will not upload content to websites that keep trackers on embedded content. Instead, users will be sent a notification warning of potential tracking and whether they want to continue using the content.

DuckDuckGo further claims that compared to Chrome for Mac in some large graphics performance it is a bit faster and uses 60 percent less RAM and data than Chrome.

The only problem at work is that you need to join a waiting list to access new apps for Mac. To do this, you’ll need a mobile device that already has the DuckDuckGo app (which can be downloaded for free on Android and iOS). Go to Settings and then select the DuckDuckGo option for the desktop from the Privacy section.

After that, you will have to wait until you get a notification in the app with an invitation code. Using this code, users will be able to download the browser for their Mac.

A similar product is working for Windows PC. Although PC users can use their extensions for DuckDuckGo’s search engine and all Chromium-based browsers, they have not yet been provided with a dedicated web browser that already has significant features of DuckDuckGo.
