House of the Dragon premieres in less than five months. HBO has announced that the first Game of Thrones Spin-Off will arrive wherever available on HBO and HBO Max on Sunday, August 21, with a teaser poster featuring a dragon egg – as well as a new look for most major casts. Assuming that the HBO deal with Disney-owned Star India is still in force, you can expect House of the Dragon to be released on Monday, August 22nd at Disney + Hotstar in India. Like all HBO shows, Game of Thrones Spin-Off will be a weekly release. House of the Dragon will run until Sunday, October 23 / Monday, October 24, with the first season of a 10-episode series.
Interestingly, this puts Game of Thrones’ prequel spin-off less than two weeks ahead of another big-budget epic fantasy prequel spin-off. I’m talking about The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of the Power – the first season of its eight-episode series is about to begin on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, September 2nd – a virtually existing series due to the massive frenzy surrounding Game of Thrones. That means for the entire week of September and October, listeners will be treated to a new Lord of the Rings episode every Friday and a new House of the Dragon episode every Sunday / Monday.
In addition to the House of the Dragon release date, HBO has released nine new images from the upcoming Game of Thrones spin-off, featuring Paddy Concidine as King Vesaris Targaryen, the fifth ruler of the Seven Kingdoms; Steve Toussaint as “CV Bath” by Rice Iffans, the famous sailor Lord Carlisle, in the role of Olivia Cook, part of the King’s inner circle, in the role of Arsie, Lady Alicent Hightower, the father of Allicant, and the hand of King Ser’s Auto Hightower. , Eve Best as Princess Rahenis Targaryen, wife of Carlisle, Millie Alcock and Emily Kerry as young Rainier and Alicante, Fabian Frankel as skilled swordsman Kristen Cole and Sonoya Mizuno as dancer and Mysaria as Damon’s most trusted ally.
House of the Dragon will launch on August 21 on HBO and HBO Max and August 22 on Disney + Hotstar. All eight seasons of Game of Thrones are currently available on Disney + Hotstar.
