How to connect Apple Watch to Peloton

Previously, the Apple Watch was not only compatible with Bike Plus, but a recent update from Peloton also brought support for trade and original bikes. The company has also made the pairing process much less complicated with Apple Watch.
Here’s how to pair an Apple Watch with a Peloton
- Once you’ve downloaded and installed the Peloton app, open it on your Apple Watch.
- In the Peloton app, tap More > Apple Watch > Set up > Connect to the health app. This will open the Health app on your iPhone.
- Switch to your iPhone and tap on the Health app Turn it all on. This will give Peloton full access to your Apple Health data. You can also go to this page manually with the title Settings > Privacy > Apps > Peloton > Turn it all on.
- Finally, open and select the Peloton app on your Apple Watch Allow When it requests notification permission.
Start a workout from your bike or trade or the Peloton app on your iPhone. If all goes well, you’ll see a notification on your Apple Watch to start monitoring your workout. Significantly, according to Peloton, you can’t start a workout directly from the Apple Watch app. You can open the Peloton app on your Apple Watch to follow the live progress of your workout.

What can you do with Peloton on Apple Watch?
The Apple Watch will track your heart rate and allow Peloton to calculate your endurance score. The latter is Peloton’s performance metrics that allow users to evaluate and balance their workouts, whether it’s cycling or strength training.
You can use the Apple Watch to keep track of your live workout metrics. These include your speed, distance, calories and heart rate. Of course, the convenience of using the Apple Watch with Peloton devices is also turning off your activity rings.
