How to create a poll on Discord

A significant amount of user activity is required to extend a server to Discord. People can spread the invitations around and promote the server to their liking, but if that doesn’t happen, people are forced to leave. If you run a server, one of the best ways to improve interactivity and engagement is to poll. With the ability to select server members, they become more than just what they say and can make a difference. Of course, there are different ways to hold a vote. Here’s how we do our poll on Discord.

How to create a poll on Discord (using an external link)

The easiest way to conduct a poll on Discord is to create a poll on a poll creation website and then share it on your server as a link.

Stroop The most common poll creation website that people use in Discord. After you set up the parameters for your poll by setting up the main questions and answers, Stroopl will create a link for your poll that you can share on Discord.

How to create a poll with StrawPoll and share in Discord

Visit the StrawPoll website. From the options above, click Create a poll.

Go to the strawpoll.bot website in your browser and click Invite Bot Button at the top right.

If you have not already logged in to Discord, you will be prompted to log in. Once you’ve logged in to your Discord account, you’ll be redirected to a title page. An external application StrawPoll wants to access your Discord account.

How to make a poll with StrawPoll bot

Open the Discord desktop app or go to the Discord website and log in to your account. Go to the server where you invited the StrawPoll bot and click on the channel where you want to post your poll. In this case, we will post it on the text channel # Voting time.

In Message At the bottom of the interface, type the command / Poll.

In Title Field, type your Discord poll question. After that, click gray +[number] More The text that follows the question of your vote.

Fill in the options you want in each answer slot.

Doing a poll on Discord is as easy as formatting your message as follows:

• Ping: Start the message by tagging @ EveryoneSo everyone on the server knows you’re doing a poll.
• Question: Write your Discord poll question right after the tag, so that the first thing users see is the poll query.
• Call to action: Ask users to respond with appropriate emoji to vote.
• Answer options: Write your answer options below your question and next to Call to Action, Emoji. These emojis represent those answers and when they appear as feedback, they will represent a vote.

If your message contains all the elements, go ahead and post it The only problem is that people might respond with multiple emojis, so this isn’t the most accurate way to set up a poll on your Discord server. However, this method will work just fine if you need a quick response.
