The Microsoft team provides a great way to organize a group of employees working on the same project or let a school administrator set up a group for a class. The way to do this is to build a team. You can create channels within groups to create project subgroups to be more specific. Before we get to that though, you first need to build a team of Microsoft teams.

How to create a team in Microsoft team

Open Team Tab and click on the menu on the left side of the desktop app Join or form a team Below your team list. Click Team up Buttons displayed on the main page. On mobile, tap Team Tab at the bottom of the page. Tap Create new team.

If you choose to create a team from another group, you can choose from other Office 365 teams already set up in the organization and import contact information for members of that group.

Set the team Private Or Public. You can set individual groups to restrict the group to only those you invite, while a public group will allow anyone in the organization to join.

Enter a name for the group and set up the channel. The Microsoft team will create one General Channel by default. You can add channels later.

Why can’t I create a team in Microsoft team?
You won’t see the option to create a team in Microsoft Teams. Because you do not have the required permissions on your account. Contact your IT administrator to change your account permissions if you need to
