Discord goes above and beyond in terms of its interactive visual elements. There is no shortage of customizable responses that you can hide from emojis that go into GIFs. Most recently, they reintroduced stickers, a static or animated alternative to emoji and GIFs. What is a Discord Sticker?

The stickers are a bit mysterious. Although they exist similarly in the form of GIFs, stickers are basically just large discord emojis that cannot be added to the text.
Like emojis, custom stickers can be static images or they can be animated. Users who are not subscribed to Discord Nitro may use a server’s own sticker, but not a sticker from outside that server.
How to use stickers on discord
Discord users usually use stickers to respond to messages or to greet other people on the server. Because of their larger real estate, they can be more ornate and detailed than standard discarded emojis.
Desktop
Open the Discord Desktop Client or go to the Discord website and log in. Find the discord server or direct message thread where you want to send the sticker, then click Sticker Button

From the Extended menu, identify the sticker you want to use. If you are a Discord Nitro subscriber, you can use stickers from other servers.

Click on the sticker you want to use. When you insert a sticker, it will exist in its own message line, which means you can’t add any text to it.

Open the Discord app on your Android or iOS device, then navigate to the server or direct message thread where you want to send the sticker. Tap the Emoji button to open the Emoji Tray.

How to add stickers to discord
If you want to add custom stickers, you must do so through your server. In addition, your server must be “boosted”.

A server boosted at Level 1 (Boost 2) can upload 15 custom stickers, a server boosted at Level 2 (Boost 7) can upload up to 30 custom stickers, and a server boosted at Level 3 (Boost 14) can upload up to 60 custom stickers. Can upload stickers. Although the server costs money.

Open the Discord desktop client or go to the Discord website and log in. Go to your server and open the dropdown menu by clicking the down arrow at the top.

In the Stickers tab, if your server is boosted to at least level 1, you can start uploading custom stickers. These can be up to 512kb in size.

Even if your server is level 1 or higher, you will not be able to upload custom stickers to the mobile app. Discord may add the ability to do this in future app updates.

How do you get a free Discord sticker?
If you join a server that has been boosted and has custom stickers, you can use them even if you are not a Payment Discord Nitro subscriber. However, if you want to use them on other servers, you must subscribe to Discord Nitro.
How do I add a sticker to Discord Mobile?
It is currently impossible to upload stickers to mobile apps for Android and iOS. Discord may add this feature in the future.
