According to details shared by a feature tracker, Instagram is working on a feature that will allow users to reply to stories with voice messages and images. The image and video sharing social platform recently added support for Favorite Story, which will send users a notification instead of a new message in their inbox. Although the company has not released any details about the feature currently under development, it recently introduced a new product tagging feature for users in the United States, which was previously exclusive to business and manufacturer accounts on the platform.
The meta-owned social network is working on a new feature that allows users to respond to stories with their voice. An image, Seen over the weekend by Alessandro Paluji, a popular app developer. A microphone icon and image icon were shown in a screenshot of the interface to respond to an Instagram story, which was probably discovered by reverse engineering to the app. The screenshot does not reveal whether the feature was seen on iOS or Android versions of the app.
Responding using voice messages can be useful for users who want to reply to messages quickly without typing. This can shorten the process of tapping into a user’s profile at the top of their story, then tapping. Message Buttons on their profile to send a voice message or a picture after watching a story.
Users can currently respond to stories with eight ‘quick response’ emojis, a text message, or a GIF reply. Paluzzi Published Instagram is also working on the ability to like stories on the website after the recent release of the feature on iOS and Android on March 25. However, it is worth noting that the ability to respond to a story with all the features of development, such as voice messages and images, will not be revealed in the end. Instagram has not yet released any details of the feature seen in development for the mobile version of the app.
Meanwhile, Instagram recently introduced its product-tagging feature to all users in the United States, allowing users to tag products in their posts in the service. The app previously restricted the feature to users with a manufacturer or business account. Instagram is expected to roll out the feature to users in other regions in the next few months. Earlier this month, Instagram also introduced auto-created captions for videos shared by users, a feature found on rival video sharing service Tikto.
