Reliance Jio has launched a new JioTVCamera accessory to allow Jio Fiber users to make video calls. At the time of the Jio Fiber launch, the company stated that users would be able to make video calls via the Jio Fiber set-top box. The JioTV camera is an accessory that can be attached to your TV set to make those video calls possible. We’re not sure if a third-party camera works with a set-top box, but if you don’t have a camera for TV video calling purposes, you can purchase a JioTVCamera from Jio.com.
The new JioTVCamera is priced at Rs. 2,999, and হচ্ছে is already being sold on Jio.com Reliance Jio is offering EMI options on purchases, and claims to deliver within three to five business days. The company also offers a one-year warranty on the product and a replacement within seven days of delivery in case of damage or defect.
JioTVCamera is a simple plug and play accessory that should be placed on top of your television for TV video calls from full screen TV. It is only available for Jio Fiber customers with Jio Fiber set-top box The company is offering free set-top boxes for current and new users. It only enables video calls to Jio numbers and audio calls to all mobile and landline numbers.
JioTVCamera does not require a separate installation and users simply need to plug the USB end of the camera into the USB port in the set-top box. Once the accessory is plugged in, reboot the set-top box and set up your landline number in the JioCall app via a simple OTP process. Users will then be able to make and receive video calls through the JioCall app. JioTVCamera offers 120 degree field of view to include more people in the frame. The camera weighs just 93 grams, and measures 118×37.2×30.8mm. It integrates a 1 / 2.7-inch CMOS sensor with a focal length of 3.1mm and the input voltage at 5V.
As a reminder, the set-top box was unveiled last August and was made available free of charge to existing and new Jio Fiber users in December. The Jio Fiber set-top box is an Android-based streaming media player that gives users the ability to stream content to their TV screen via the OTT app. Hotstar, YouTube, Voot, JioSaavn, JioTV Plus, SonyLIV, and JioCinema are currently supported in the Jio Fiber set-top box.
