Netflix has so far only announced one Indian original for April 2022. It is called Mai and in it, Witness Tanwar plays the role of a grieving mother who discovers the culprits involved in her daughter’s tragic death, and then transforms from humble to ruthless to find out the truth. Mai is out on Netflix on April 15. There is a second Indian headline on Netflix in April, but it is not an original one. In Dasvi, Abhishek Bachchan plays the role of an uneducated prisoner politician who decides to go to high school under the watchful eye of a strict policeman (Yami Gautam) while his conspiratorial wife (Nimrat Kaur) makes his own plans. If You Want Only Indian Actors, You Should Consider The Bubble – Released April 1 on Netflix – Jude Apato (Knocked Up) New Movie featuring Karen Gillan, Pedro Pascal, Leslie Mann, Keegan as well as Bir Das – Michael Key, And more. The Bubble is Apatow’s epidemic movie, as it tries to finish filming a movie about flying dinosaurs following a cast and crew – basically Jurassic Park, just look at that font – while quarantining at an elite hotel.
The April 2022 Netflix Original Movie section has a few big names outside of this. Childhood writer-director Richard Linklater returns with the animated Apollo 10 1/2, inspired by his own childhood. Jack Black and Zachary Levy are part of the voice cast. Apollo 10 1/2 will also be available on April 1. One week later, on April 8, Joe King of The Kissing Booth is starring in the new Netflix new-age love story The In Between, which involves a tragic accident and a supernatural event. On the same day, we have the teen comedy Metal Lords, for which Game of Thrones co-creator DB Weiss provided the script. Jaeden Martell (It, Knives Out) is among the cast.
In April 2022, Netflix’s Returning Series section has something for everyone. The Russian Doll returns three years later with a second season set four years later. If those numbers throw you off, wait until you see the new season that blends in with a time portal. April 20 Russian Doll Season 2 explodes on Netflix. A new semester begins in Elite Season 5 – April 8 streaming – and with it comes a new victim, a new criminal, and a new mystery.
In fact, the biggest name is not Netflix: Better Call Saul 7 Breaking Bad Spin-Off will begin its sixth and final season in mid-April. An exact date for India has not been confirmed, but I hope it will be April 19 or April 20, release dates for past seasons and other regions. The 13-episode Better Call Saul Season 6 will air in two episodes, with the last six episodes starting in mid-July after a short break.
In addition, at least three Netflix original series will bid us farewell in April. At the top of the pile is the Jason Batman-driven crime drama Ozark, With the second part of the fourth and final season – adopting the Better Call Saul method – landing on Netflix on April 29. On the same day, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin drop the final episodes of her seventh and final season of the comedy series Grace and Frankie. And 10 days ago, Pacific Rim anime Pacific Rim: The Black returns to its second and final season, following the same jigger-controlling siblings as before.
While there’s a lot going on for the returning crowd, the new Netflix original series has only one successful name in the crop. This honor goes to Anatomy of a Scandal, Emmy winner David E. Goes to the adaptation of Kelly’s best-selling novel. After a powerful British politician was accused of a heinous crime, his wife’s privileged life was exposed as the secret of the scandal. Siena Miller, Michelle Dockery, Rupert Friend, and Naomi Scott star in Anatomy of a Scandal, which drops all episodes on Netflix on April 15.
In the world of Netflix’s original documentaries, April 2022 our former US President Barack Obama is describing the documentaries in our Great National Park – I am positive that you can guess about it – from 13 April. About a week ago, Free Solo Oscar-winning directors Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vassarheli took us on a historic space mission as we return to space, as Elon Musk and SpaceX engineers try to get NASA astronauts back to the International Space Station. Return to the April 7 space premiere on Netflix.
It leaves out the new interactive game show Trivia Quest where you can question yourself on different levels of difficulty and different ranges of different topics. Trivia Quest will air on Netflix on April 1.
Finally, the latest Ghostbastin movie Ghostbusters: Afterlife – Star Wars: The Force Awakens will almost certainly be released on Netflix in India on April 10.
