- OnePlus will launch OnePlus Ace on April 21 in China.
- The phone closely resembles the Realme GT Neo 3.
- It is rumored to come with a 150W charging, MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip and a 50MP Sony camera.
After a few days of rumors and leaks, OnePlus S is now official. The company has confirmed that the phone will launch in China on April 21 at 7pm local time (7 AM ET).
The back panel of the phone has a dual texture design. On one side there is a stripe, on the other side there is a smooth finish. It looks like a sack that encloses with a drawstring. We had previously hoped that the OnePlus would include a sandstone and metallic finish, but looking at these clear images shared by the company it probably didn’t.
Elsewhere, the phone borrows its name from Oppo’s older Ace series devices. OnePlus is not ashamed to admit the truth. The company says it has named its new series to see if it can produce better products than those available in the market. According to the brand, the Ace line (yes, there will be more Ace brand OnePlus phones in the future) will focus on high-end textured design, reliable quality and robust performance.
Meanwhile, an India launch of OnePlus is also scheduled for April 28. The firm may announce a wider availability for the OnePlus Ace at that event. It is also possible that the OnePlus 10R and OnePlus Ace have the same phone with different names for different markets. However, a credible tipstar suggests that Ace is a beefed-up version of the OnePlus 10R. We just have to wait and see what the company has and whether it plans to launch a new Ace series outside of China.
