Panasonic Lumix S1, Lumix S1R Full Frame Mirrorless Camera Launched In India

Panasonic on Monday launched the much awaited Lumix S series full-frame mirrorless camera in the Indian market. The first details about the Panasonic Lumix S1 and S1R were leaked to Photokina last year. Further, both new mirrorless cameras received an official announcement in early February this year. And now, the company has finally launched both Lumix S1 and S1R in the country. While the Lumix S1 comes with a 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor that targets a wider audience, the Lumix S1R has a huge 47.3-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor aimed at professionals.

The Panasonic Lumix S1 and Lumix S1R are priced at Rs. 1,99,990 and Rs. 2,99,990 (body only) respectively. With Lumix S 24-105mm f / 4.0 Macro OIS Lens Kit, the Lumix S1 and S1R are priced at Rs. 2,67,990 and Rs. 3,67,990 respectively. In addition, both cameras are available for purchase offline from today, with no word yet on their online availability.

The Panasonic Lumix S1 and Lumix S1R are both based on the L-Mount standard, an alliance between Leica, Panasonic and Sigma. According to the company, L-Mount provides uncompromising imaging experience. Currently, three new lenses are offered: Lumix S Pro 50mm f / 1.4, Lumix S Pro 70-200mm f / 4.0 OIS, and Lumix S 24-105mm f / 4.0 Macro OIS. In addition, the company says that 42 more lenses will be available for the L-Mount series in the next two years.

The Lumix S1 comes with a 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor with a native ISO range of 100-51,200. It has a high-resolution mode that allows users to get photos in a 96-megapixel ultra-high-precision photo with a pixel shift technology shooting. The Lumix S1R comes with a 47.3-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor with a native ISO range of 100-25,600. Like the Lumix S1, the Lumix S1R has a high-resolution mode, but the resulting output is 187-megapixels.

The cameras are powered by the new Venus Imaging Engine and offer high-speed and high-precision autofocus systems based on advanced control technology over the lens. Other highlights of the Lumix S1 and Lumix S1R include HDR still photos, 4K video recording up to 60fps, slow motion video up to 180fps, 6K and 4K photos, 5-axis dual image stabilization, as we ;; As high-speed continuous shots at 9fps and 6fps, to name a few. The Lumix S1 and Lumix S1R are made using a high-strength magnesium-alloy body and come with dust and splash resistance which allows them to withstand heavy field use and frost resistance up to -10 ডি C.
