Sony India has announced the launch of its latest high-end mirrorless camera in the Alpha 7R series, the Alpha 7R IV. Sony’s new mirrorless camera claims to be the world’s first 61-megapixel back-illuminated full-frame image sensor, designed to deliver stunning image quality with high resolution and wide dynamic range while maintaining outstanding focusing performance, high speed Shooting and much more. In addition, the company has announced the launch of a vertical grip, a shotgun microphone, an adapter kit and a memory card.
Sony Alpha 7R IV is priced at Rs. 2,99,000 (body only) and the camera will be available for purchase starting September 18th.
As we mentioned above, the Sony Alpha 7R IV is claimed to be the world’s first 35mm full-frame mirrorless camera with a 61-megapixel rear-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor with the latest generation Bionz X image processor. The camera has a 5.76 million dot UXGA (Ultra-XGA) OLED Tru-Finder electronic viewfinder for better brightness and contrast viewing output.
Sony claims that the Alpha 7R IV can shoot a high-speed continuous up to 10fps with full automatic frame and automatic exposure tracking for about 7 seconds in full-frame mode with an extended buffer memory, and about three times more in APS. C mode. The camera also has a 15-stop dynamic range for low-sensitivity stills, resulting in smooth natural gradation from deep shadows to highlights. Other features include real-time eye auto focus, professional 4K video recording in Super 35mm mode, S-Log3 and HDR workflow support.
In addition to the camera, Sony has launched a few more accessories. It includes a VG-C4EM vertical grip priced at Rs. 31,990, an ECM-B1M shotgun microphone costs Rs. 27,990, and an XLR-K3M XLR adapter kit costs Rs. 46,990.
