Cerberus is a phone tracker application for personal use. That’s right- this is an eye-opener Yours Phone, more than anyone else.
It helps you to find a lost or stolen smartphone and it has many additional features This includes taking pictures of potential thieves, SMS commands, finding the phone on the map and you can lock and delete your data. It won’t help you track other people’s devices, but you can fully spy on anyone who has stolen you. Subscription services start at a very reasonable $ 5 per year for a single device and increase from there.
Flexispy is one of the few more powerful spy apps on Android. Of course, this means you have to be extra careful with its impressive features. It lets you do things that people might be afraid of, with the ability to turn on the microphone to listen to the surroundings of the device, monitor chat apps, capture the remote camera, kill keylogging and antivirus apps and hide yourself completely from the app drawer. . Prices are much higher there and you won’t find this app in the Play Store, but it has a lot of features.
Google Family Link
Google Family Link is an app that parents can use to track their kids through their Google Account. The app lets you view activity on your child’s device, manage apps, and even recommend apps. You can also set the device limit and lock the device if necessary.
Family Link replaces an old Google service, so not all features were perfect at launch. Some people got into connectivity issues and bugs, but in general, the experience should work well for most people. After all, it’s a completely free option for you to try.
Google’s Find My Device app is probably the best lost or stolen phone app for Android. You can quickly see your phone or other Google accessories on a map for their exact location. Additionally, you can delete the phone, ring it, or lock the device. However, you can’t take pictures or anything like that with Cerberus. Overall, this is a simple and easy way to keep track of where your phone is always.
Pre-Anti Theft is another Find-My-Device style app. This one is completely free and has some decent features. These include a simple array of Find-My-Phone features, such as GPS tracking, phone locking, and sending alarms via phone. However, the victim can also take pictures with the camera, detect nearby Wi-Fi hotspots and track things like the MAC address of the device. Not a bad set of features when you get free ৷
Price: $ 89 per month
Spyera is one of the most intense spy apps for Android. It boasts of simple features for people like parents However, we cannot imagine a use where this intense thing is necessary outside of enterprise use. It has a bunch of features with the ability to hide itself from basically all places. It comes with remote control support, SMS spoofing and all sorts of other recognized shady behaviors. It is very expensive so we do not recommend it to the general public. It is also not available on Google Play so you need to get the app from its official website and sideload.
Carrier Family Locator App
Carrier Family Locator is a family location service for mobile carriers like T-Mobile, Verizon and others. These services work as expected. You can keep track of the phone location of any phone in your plan. They typically feature things like on-demand location, a variety of alerts and it works on most devices. We have T-Mobile linked here, but you can search the Play Store or call your carrier to see if they have a similar service.
OEM Find My Phone
Many phone manufacturers have phone search services as part of their software experience A notable example is Samsung. You log in with your Samsung account and you can find your device with its services. It runs parallel to Google’s Find My Device for a powerful one-to-one punch. You can lock (or unlock) your phone, find it on a map, and have other features. It is worthwhile to see if there is anything like this on your phone.
Price: Free / $ 59.99- $ 89.99 per year
XNSPY is a bit of a weird case. It has awesome features like call log monitoring, GPS tracking, web browsing, access chat and all kinds of tracking stuff. However, it is much more affordable than the big competitors like FlexiSpy and Spyera. The basic version lets you see some things while the premium version lets you see everything. This is a great option for businesses or families to save some money, but families may want to try using Google Family Link or Kiddie Parental Controls before doing anything more powerful.
How to check and remove spy applications
Of course, some of these apps may be on your device without your knowledge and you may want to know. Unfortunately, no matter how well they hide, many common methods do not work very well. However, there are a few ways to see if something might be spying on you.
- The GlassWire app lets you monitor the data on your device. You can easily see when a spy app sends data back to its host. We recommend this first because spy apps can hide from Task Manager and antivirus apps, but they can’t hide their own data usage.
- Some antivirus apps may still detect the app if the host does not hide it well enough. You can see our best list here.
- You can find uninstalled guides for most of the major spy apps. For example, one here for FlexiSpy, and one here for mSpy.
- As a temporary solution, you can put the phone in airplane mode. Spy apps depend on the host’s ability to send data back, and they can’t if you’re not connected to a network.
- If all else fails, you can factory reset the phone. It should remove every app, excluding those pre-installed by OEM.
