German luxury camera maker Leica has launched its new camera this week – the V-Lux 5 – with an OLED electronic viewfinder and a full touchscreen rear panel at Rs. 98,000 in India
To recall, the Leica V-Lux 5 was launched worldwide earlier this month. With the camera’s 20-megapixel, 1-inch sensor combination, the Leica V-Lux 5’s 9.1-146mm lens provides consistent image across the entire zoom range – whether shooting through macro, wide-angle, standard or telephoto settings – the company Said in a statement.
With a maximum aperture of f / 2.8 and f / 4 for maximum corresponding wide-angle and extreme telephoto settings, maximum sensitivity of ISO 12800, and an integrated optical image stabilizer, the camera is equipped to capture still video and images in less time. Ambient light, even without a tripod.
The camera supports an explosion rate of up to 12 frames per second (fps) with an image resolution of 2.36MP.
Also, the Leica V-Lux 5 is the first model of the V-Lux line to be used with the Leica FOTOS app that uses Bluetooth to change settings and remotely control the camera from Android as well as iOS devices. The app helps to transfer photos from smartphone to camera and export GPS positioning data.
The camera can be recharged from devices with a powerbank via a USB cable. The Leica V-Lux 5 will be available for purchase in India from mid-August.
