Xiaomi-backed Yi technology has launched a new product in India called Yi Dash Camera. The new camera adds products like Yi Action Camera, Yi 4K Action Camera and Yi Home Security Camera to the company’s India portfolio. The Yi Smart Dash Camera is a monitoring system that you can install on your car and record it while you drive. Yi Technology Smart Dash Camera is priced at Rs. 5200, of which a launch discount of Rs. 699. It is not clear how long the promotional price will be effective.

The Yi Smart Dash camera can be attached to the windscreen and installed in your car. The main purpose of the device is to record daily events through the windscreen and can come in handy in the event of an accident. The Yi Dash camera has a 165-degree field-of-view and is capable of recording video at 1080p 60fps and 1080p 30fps. It has a microSD card slot and it stores all recorded footage directly on the card.

Yi’s smart dash camera has ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistant System) which gives real-time alert to the driver. This ADAS system also has a lane exit warning, which warns the driver when going astray from the lane. It also has a collision warning system, which can warn the driver of impending impact if the vehicle in front slows down.

In addition, the Yi Smart Dash camera has a 2.7-inch 16: 9 1080p screen, which can also be used to view recorded content. Onboard also has Wi-Fi support, allowing users to stream live video from the dash camera.

The Yi Smart Dash camera has a G-Sensor that allows the camera to automatically record and save clips in an emergency. The product is available for purchase through Space India in Space Gray color and it is fairly easy to install.
