YouTube disrupts services worldwide after online disruption

Alphabet Inc.’s YouTube said Tuesday it has solved a problem that has disrupted certain features for thousands of users across online video sharing and social media platforms.

“Everything is fixed – you will now be able to log in, switch between accounts and use the Account menu and navigation bar across all services (YouTube, YouTube TV, YouTube Music, YouTube Studio) and devices,” YouTube tweeted.

Nearly 10,000 users have reported problems with the service on DownDetector, a website that collects status reports from a number of sources, including errors submitted by users on its platform and tracks the discrepancies.

Logging in, switching accounts and using the navigation bar were among the problems faced by users, YouTube tweeted during the interruption.

Users have also reported problems accessing the live television platform YouTube TV, according to the outage-tracking website.

The problem affecting the platform was not immediately apparent.
